I have seen in the Frankfurt catalogue that Kepler’s Rudolphine Tables have come out … So I am writing to Götz to have them sent to me … Though I have little time for astronomy now, I shall prepare myself for the future, if God gives us back peace this summer. And is there any lover of the stars who would not want these Tables, longed for so many years? I want them all the more, the more uncertain Severin leaves meLongomontanus, whose Astronomia Danica (1622) Crüger had hoped would settle the matter. … So I am held by a great longing for Kepler’s Tables.
